Sector Index

A thematic approach to structured exposure across leading crypto verticals.

OLTA Sector Index offer curated access to specific segments of the digital asset landscape. Each fund is designed to track a well-defined narrative or vertical, providing targeted exposure while retaining the benefits of index-based investing.

Each sector index includes between 6 and 12 carefully selected assets, along with a dedicated sleeve of $OLTA to align long-term incentives with protocol growth.

Selection focuses on category relevance, on-chain traction, and liquidity. Thematic indices are reviewed periodically and reconstituted as the market evolves.

Examples of thematic categories include:

  • Decentralized Finance (DeFi)

  • Real World Assets (RWA)

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  • Layer 2 & Infrastructure

  • Liquid Staking Tokens (LST)

  • Tokenized TradFi Index (TTI)

These indices provide investors with a simplified entry point to participate in emerging trends without relying on individual token selection.

To better structure sector exposure, OLTA classifies eligible assets within each sector according to their market capitalization tier. This allows for more balanced risk allocation and construction logic in sector indices.

Capitalization Tiering

Category
Circulating Market Cap
Characteristics

High Cap

≥ $1.5B USD

Highly liquid, established protocols, widely listed

Mid Cap

$500M – $1.5B USD

Moderate liquidity, growing adoption

Small Cap

$80M – $500M USD

Higher volatility, often DEX-listed only

Micro caps (< $80M) are generally excluded from OLTA indices due to insufficient liquidity and risk of pricing distortion.

Each sector index is governed by the same rule-based methodology as the Core Index, ensuring transparency, consistency, and operational efficiency across the OLTA suite.

Example – Thematic Sector Index: Cryptocurrencies AI Index Mid Caps This index aggregates crypto assets issued by projects operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence and blockchain. Eligible assets must be tied to protocols that either:

Qualifying assets may include:

  • Natively use blockchain to power AI infrastructure (e.g., decentralized data storage, provenance, or coordination layers)

  • Offer tokenized access to AI-related services, such as model training, inference, or compute sharing

  • Deploy onchain AI agents, autonomous logic, or verifiable AI results

Only protocols with a live, exchange-listed crypto asset are considered. Selection is based on sector relevance, token liquidity, and technical differentiation. A curated cap ensures no overexposure to a single AI subdomain.
